Ahmed Adekunle Lawal is the Group Chief Executive Officer of WealthBridge Financial Services Holdings Limited, bringing over 25 years of experience in banking, spanning deal structuring, capital raising, international funding, private equity, M & A, corporate finance, and structured finance. He is recognized for his expertise in debt and equity capital raising, structured leveraged transactions, and trade financing.
He has played key roles in landmark capital market and financing transactions worth billions of naira, spanning multiple industries including telecommunications, banking, oil & gas, real estate, agriculture, logistics, utilities, and manufacturing. He has successfully structured and executed diverse instruments such as bonds, sukuk, and commercial paper programmes, while also advising on international transactions including Eurobond issuances and project finance deals. His experience reflects a strong track record in mobilizing capital, structuring innovative financing solutions, and delivering sustainable growth across diverse sectors.
He has held senior roles at United Capital Plc, ARM Securities Limited, FCMB Capital Markets Limited, FBN Capital Limited, and Vee Networks Limited. Over the course of his career, he has consistently led and supervised complex transactions, engaged external advisors, coordinated due diligence processes, and supported client negotiations with financial institutions to secure favorable financing terms. His ability to develop and review financial models, evaluate debt and equity proposals, and drive product innovation has positioned him as a trusted advisor and industry leader.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS), Ahmed combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics (Hons.) from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye and currently undergoing the combined Global Masters in Business Administration (GEMBA) with London Business School and Columbia Business School.
